Shoot in STD, Cine-D, HLG or V-log.
All settings as default, master pedestral, shadow/highlights, iDynamic, etc. Execpt noise reduction and sharpening. Use what ever you prefer.
Luma level 0-255
Don't let anything clip (turn pure white). Use zebras (std. 100, cine-d 100, HLG 95, V-log 80) to see what's clipping. Light sources and specular highlight can clip, protect everything else.
Recommended to use view assist with HLG and V-log. Monitorin LUT for V-log is included with the KIT.
You need to have the latests firmware version in your GH5 -camera. Here is the newest firmware: https://www.panasonic.com/global/consumer/lumix/gh5_firmware.html

Open the second tab in the menu, page 1/4 and the first menu item, Choose MP4(LPCM) or MOV.
Then you have the HLG choosable as a format in the video profile menus, but only in 10bit. HLG doesn't work in 8bit.
